In September, the intensity of combat on the front line remained high — a total of 5,356 clashes were recorded during the month, according to Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense, citing data from the General Staff of the Armed Forces.
“The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine recorded 5,356 combat engagements in September. The fiercest day was September 18, with 223 battles in a single day,” the ministry reported.
Throughout the first month of autumn, Russian forces carried out more than 145,000 attacks using various weapon systems, including over 3,200 multiple rocket launcher strikes. Russian military aviation dropped 3,989 guided aerial bombs equipped with universal planning and correction modules.
The Ministry of Defense noted that April 2025 was the record month for the use of such guided bombs, when Russian aviation dropped over 5,000 of them.
