Naftogaz Group and Polish company ORLEN signed two memoranda during the Carpathian Eight Summit aimed at strengthening Ukraine’s energy security and diversifying energy supply routes.
“One of the documents provides for the supply of three cargoes of liquefied natural gas in the first quarter of 2027. Additional LNG volumes, if needed, will help meet Ukraine’s demand during the peak seasonal consumption period,” the statement said.
The second document provides for supplies of petroleum products to the Ukrainian market worth up to $500 million. Naftogaz stressed that this will further strengthen the stability of fuel supplies amid the global oil crisis caused by developments in the Middle East.
The document also provides for exploring the possibility of supplying Ukrainian crude oil for processing at refineries in Central Europe.
Another area of cooperation could involve the transfer of used fuel tanker trucks to Ukrnafta for transporting petroleum products.
