Ukrainian Air Force: Russians have begun using more ballistic missiles

During the massive strike on Ukraine on the night of Tuesday, February 3, the Russians used a large number of ballistic missiles, said Yuri Ignat, Head of the Communications Department of the Ukrainian Air Force Command.

“A massive strike – 521 enemy air attack units. This time, there were very, very many ballistic missiles attacking along ballistic trajectories. That’s why, out of more than 70 missiles, only 38 were shot down/intercepted. This is a high number, considering the ballistic missiles. There were only 28 cruise missiles, of which 20 were intercepted,” Ignat said on the telemarathon broadcast.

He added that information about six missiles is still being clarified, and there are currently no data on whether they hit their targets. It is likely they did not reach the targets.

Ignat emphasized that previously the Russians actively used cruise missiles like Kalibr, Kh-101, or ballistic Iskander-M, but on Tuesday they massively deployed Kh-22/Kh-32, Zircon, and possibly Onyx.
