Ukraine strikes Russian S-400 launchers and UAV launch site

On September 16 and overnight on September 17, 2026, units of Ukraine’s Defence Forces struck a number of important Russian military targets, including S-400 launchers, a UAV launch site and facilities supporting Russian forces.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this.

“On September 16 and overnight on September 17, 2026, units of Ukraine’s Defence Forces struck a number of important military facilities of the Russian aggressor. Two launchers of an S-400 surface-to-air missile system were struck near Vygonichi in Russia’s Bryansk region. A site used by Russian forces for the storage, preparation and launch of strike UAVs was hit near Donetsk,” the General Staff said.

In addition, logistics and supply depots used by Russian forces were struck in Kurakhivka and Nova Marivka in the Donetsk region, as well as in Luhansk.

Areas where Russian personnel were concentrated were also struck in Strilkove, Kherson region, and Druzhne, Luhansk region.

The General Staff said operations against key Russian military targets are continuing.
