Since the beginning of 2026, Ukrainian forces have struck more than 3,000 Russian unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs) using strike drones, according to Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence.

The strikes on Russian UGVs were confirmed through the DELTA battlefield situational awareness system. According to the Defence Ministry, the highest number of Russian ground robots was destroyed or damaged in August, when 511 units were hit.

“Every Russian ground drone put out of action disrupts Russian forces’ logistics, reduces their capabilities for reconnaissance and assault operations, and forces them to compensate for the loss of robotic platforms with additional resources and personnel,” the Ministry of Defence said.

The ministry also published monthly figures for Russian UGVs struck by Ukrainian drones since the beginning of 2026:

  • January — 460;
  • February — 293;
  • March — 215;
  • April — 223;
  • May — 323;
  • June — 370;
  • July — 456;
  • August — 511.

The Ministry of Defence added that during the first half of September, Ukraine’s Defence Forces struck almost 200 Russian ground robots using UAVs.
