On the night of 25 September, starting from 18:00 on 24 September, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 295 UAVs, including Shahed strike drones, 52 of them jet-powered, as well as Gerbera drones, Banderol/Dan-T drones and Parodiya decoy drones.
The drones were launched from the directions of Oryol, Kursk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk and Shatalovo in Russia, as well as occupied Donetsk and Hvardiiske in occupied Crimea.
The air attack was repelled by aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defence Forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 07:30, Ukrainian air defences had shot down or suppressed 267 Russian Shahed, Gerbera and other types of UAVs.
Russian aerial weapons struck 16 locations, while downed drones or their debris fell at four locations.
