Deep reconnaissance and precision strikes against remote areas of Russia — the Ministry of Defense has codified the Ukrainian-made Dovbush T40 unmanned aerial system.
This multifunctional strategic-level unmanned aircraft is designed for:
- deep reconnaissance;
- fire adjustment;
- precision strikes against Russian facilities, equipment and personnel at significant distances from the line of contact.
The Dovbush T40 has a wingspan of almost five meters and can remain airborne for more than 24 hours. Its operational range is sufficient to strike targets beyond the Urals and in Russia’s Siberia.
During testing, the drone confirmed its declared tactical and technical specifications.
It has a number of advantages over similar aircraft:
- extremely low radar signature;
- high-performance engine with an electronic fuel injection system;
- various options for engaging targets — as a kamikaze drone or by dropping munitions;
- innovative technological equipment.
In addition, the Dovbush T40 is highly resistant to electronic warfare.
The Dovbush T40 unmanned system was developed by a Ukrainian company with extensive experience in manufacturing such aircraft.
The company’s Dovbush T20 and Kotyhoroshko unmanned systems have been operating on the battlefield since 2022 and have demonstrated some of the highest effectiveness rates.
The Dovbush T20 unmanned aircraft became an effective solution for medium-range reconnaissance, real-time artillery fire adjustment and precision strikes. Based on battlefield feedback, it evolved into the longer-range and more powerful Dovbush T40 strike system.
