Ukraine’s air defenses shot down 111 of 133 Russian targets

On the night of August 13 (starting from 6:00 p.m. on August 12), Russia attacked Ukraine with 133 Shahed-type strike drones, including jet-powered variants, as well as Gerbera drones and Parodiya decoy drones.

The drones were launched from the directions of Kursk, Oryol, Millerovo and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, as well as from temporarily occupied Donetsk and Hvardiiske in temporarily occupied Crimea.

The air attack was repelled by Ukrainian aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, as well as mobile fire groups of Ukraine’s Defense Forces.

According to preliminary data as of 8:00 a.m., Ukrainian air defenses shot down or suppressed 111 Shahed, Gerbera and other types of drones in the north, south and east of the country.

Russian aerial weapons struck 15 locations, while debris from downed targets fell at 16 locations.
