The Ministry of Defense has codified and authorized the use of the Ukrainian-made remotely controlled self-propelled armored platform UNEX UGV in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was announced by the Main Directorate for the Support of the Life Cycle of Armament and Military Equipment.

The self-propelled platform is built on a special chassis that provides exceptional mobility in the most challenging conditions. It can easily move over water, marshes, swamps, quicksand, sand, rough terrain, and ice. The weight distribution across the axles and the wide tires create less surface pressure than a soldier's foot, preventing activation of mines designed to target vehicles and armored equipment. During the demonstration, the amphibious armored platform crossed a ceramic plate and a coffee cup without damaging them.

The amphibian can overcome water obstacles, fallen trees, large stones, and ditches. The UNEX UGV unmanned platform can also exit water onto ice. It operates in harsh weather conditions and a wide range of temperatures.

The UNEX UGV is resistant to electronic warfare systems, has a reliable radio control system, a programmable autopilot, and powerful batteries. It can be produced in various configurations, including with a combat module, electronic warfare system, for tasks such as logistics, evacuation, and demining.

"Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the Ministry of Defense has codified and authorized nearly 80 Ukrainian-made ground robotic complexes for use by the Armed Forces, including about fifteen in 2025. These robots perform a wide range of tasks: conducting assault and defense operations, reconnaissance, mining and demining, surveillance, logistics tasks, and evacuation. The Armed Forces already have experience conducting military missions (such as repelling assaults) with ground robots and aerial drones," stated Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Valeriy Churkin.
