Ukraine's Defense Forces continued to inflict heavy losses on Russian forces across land, air, and sea in July 2026, while Russian offensive operations resulted in significant casualties, according to the Ministry of Defense.
The ministry said the figures were verified through DELTA, Ukraine's real-time battlefield management system, which tracks and confirms enemy losses.
According to the ministry, 30,957 Russian service members were killed or seriously wounded during July. The vast majority of the losses occurred in the Donetsk region, with every strike verified in the DELTA system.
The ministry said Ukrainian forces continue to target Russian manpower to limit Moscow's ability to reinforce its troops.
Russian armored losses also increased, with Ukrainian forces damaging or destroying 259 tanks during the month—twice as many as in June.
The number of successful strikes against targets more than 50 kilometers behind the front line increased by 74% in July.
The ministry said Ukrainian medium-range strike drones are now targeting not only Russia's land supply routes but also maritime logistics, including in the Sea of Azov and around the Kerch Strait.
A record 236 Russian boats and small vessels were reportedly struck during the month.
According to the ministry, these operations are intended to disrupt Russian logistics by reducing the flow of personnel, fuel, and ammunition to the front.
Ukraine's Defense Forces also recorded their highest monthly total of intercepted Russian drones.
According to the ministry, Ukrainian forces shot down 54,870 Russian multicopter and fixed-wing drones during July.
The ministry attributed the growing effectiveness of Ukraine's counter-drone efforts to coordinated operations by air defense crews, interceptor drones, army aviation, and mobile fire groups protecting both the front line and Ukrainian cities.
The Defense Ministry said the robotization of the battlefield continued to expand, with Ukrainian forces carrying out nearly 20,000 logistics and casualty evacuation missions using unmanned ground vehicles during July.
According to the ministry, wider deployment of robotic systems is helping reduce risks to Ukrainian personnel while supporting frontline operations.
