At least nine people were killed and 28 others injured, including four children, during a Russian overnight missile attack on Kyiv on August 1.
Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klitschko said that 17 of the injured were hospitalized, while the remaining victims received medical treatment either at the scene or on an outpatient basis.
Among those killed was a police officer who was on duty at the time of the attack, Kyiv police reported.
The ballistic strike affected several districts across the capital, including Darnytskyi, Holosiivskyi, Dniprovskyi, Pecherskyi, Sviatoshynskyi, Solomianskyi, and Shevchenkivskyi.
The attack caused extensive damage to residential infrastructure, including apartment buildings and private homes, as well as non-residential facilities. A school, supermarkets, a car wash, and numerous vehicles were also damaged.
The four injured children are reported to be 13, 14, and 17 years old. Authorities have not yet released further details about the fourth child.
Emergency services, investigators, bomb disposal specialists, medical teams, and psychologists continue to work at the sites of the strikes and falling debris. Officials said the number of casualties may change as rescue and assessment operations continue.
Ukrainian law enforcement agencies are documenting the destruction as evidence of what they describe as another Russian war crime.
