The first Lviv Japan Business Forum was held in Lviv, bringing together representatives of Ukrainian and Japanese businesses and creating a platform for establishing new partnerships between Ukraine and Japan.
The Lviv City Council reported this.
“Today, 24 September, the Lviv Japan Business Forum was held in Lviv for the first time. The event brought together more than 350 participants — representatives of Ukrainian and Japanese businesses, government institutions, international organisations and the financial sector. The forum became a platform for establishing new partnerships between Ukraine and Japan,” the statement said.
According to the city council, participants discussed opportunities for cooperation between Ukrainian and Japanese businesses, attracting investment, helping Ukrainian companies enter the Japanese market, and involving Japanese businesses in Ukraine’s reconstruction.
The forum also included B2B meetings aimed at establishing direct contacts between companies from the two countries.
Andrii Pavliv, head of the city council’s Investment and Projects Department, said the forum was part of Lviv’s systematic efforts to develop Ukrainian-Japanese business cooperation and create a partnership ecosystem between Lviv and Japan.
Lviv Mayor Andrii Sadovyi recalled that Japan Desk was opened in the city a year ago. It serves as an entry point for Japanese companies interested in operating in Ukraine while also helping Ukrainian businesses establish contacts with Japanese partners.
The forum was organised by the Lviv City Council’s Investment and Projects Department as part of Japan Desk Lviv, with the support of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO).
