Russian attacks have destroyed five JYSK stores in Ukraine over the past month, according to Yevhen Ivanytsia, Country Director at JYSK Ukraine.
“The fifth JYSK store destroyed in the past month. Sumy, Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih and twice in Zaporizhzhia — five JYSK stores destroyed by Russian attacks. Russians are trying to deprive Ukrainians of the signs of normal life and civilisation. Epicentr, Sinsay, Foxtrot and other companies have already left Sumy and Zaporizhzhia. Most importantly, compliance with all safety requirements once again helped us avoid casualties among our employees and customers,” Ivanytsia wrote on LinkedIn.
Ivanytsia said employees of the destroyed JYSK stores would be offered the opportunity to relocate to other Ukrainian cities where the retailer operates.
JYSK is part of the family-owned Lars Larsen Group and operates more than 3,500 stores in 50 countries. JYSK reported revenue of €6.2 billion in the 2024/2025 financial year.
