The Export Credit Agency (ECA) supported Ukrainian exports worth UAH 3.15 billion between January and March 2025, according to the Ministry of Economy’s press service. Insurance coverage from the agency was utilized by 20 exporting companies.

"In the first quarter, ECA insured exports worth over UAH 3.1 billion. This concerns finished products with added value: furniture, food products, packaging materials, wood and plastic goods. Thanks to this support, 20 companies were able to secure their contracts and attract nearly UAH 150 million in bank loans," said Deputy Minister of Economy Andriy Teliupa, as quoted in the press release.

He emphasized that this shows government support instruments are working: businesses receive protection, resources for growth, and confidently enter new markets.

The ministry noted that Ukrainian companies will export furniture, food products, paper, wood, and plastics to countries including Poland, France, Germany, Bulgaria, Denmark, Hungary, the Netherlands, and others.

Thanks to ECA’s insurance, businesses secured nearly UAH 150 million in bank loans.

The most active banks supporting ECA clients’ exports were Raiffeisen Bank – UAH 1.3 billion, Kreditvest Bank – UAH 1.26 billion, and Oschadbank – UAH 323 million.

The regions most actively using ECA’s export contract insurance were Khmelnytskyi (UAH 1.3 billion), Volyn (UAH 1.12 billion), and Zaporizhzhia (UAH 230 million).

Ukraine’s Export Credit Agency is a state institution that supports non-raw material exports by insuring the risks of businesses and banks. The agency insures foreign trade contracts, export loans, bank guarantees, and recently began insuring investment loans against war-related risks.
