Container shipping operator Maersk is introducing a temporary rail service between Constanța, Romania, and Ukrainian inland terminals until conditions improve at Black Sea ports.
The company announced the move on Telegram.
"Due to the current situation at the ports of the Odessa region, we are introducing a temporary rail service between Constanța, Romania, and Ukrainian terminals for both import and export cargo," the company said.
The service will connect terminals in Kyiv, Odessa, and Ternopil.
Maersk stressed that the measure is temporary and will remain in effect until the situation in the region stabilizes. The service is currently scheduled to operate through October 1, 2026, inclusive.
