Russian attacks across Ukraine killed at least 14 people and injured 46 others over the past day, with some of the heaviest casualties reported in Donetsk and Kharkiv regions.
In Donetsk region, eight people were killed and 19 injured on September 23. Five people died in Oleksandrivka, two in Kramatorsk and one in Sloviansk. Ten people were injured in Kramatorsk, six in Oleksandrivka and three in Sloviansk.
Six people were killed and ten injured in Kharkiv region, where eight settlements came under Russian attack. Preliminary information indicates that five people were killed and eight injured in Stara Hnylytsia in the Chuhuiv district.
A 68-year-old man was also killed near Bezruky in the Derhachi community, where a 52-year-old woman was injured. A 63-year-old man was wounded in Slatyne. Russian attacks also damaged vehicles, homes, electricity infrastructure, garages and a farm in several parts of the region.
In Sumy region, nine people were injured as Russian forces carried out almost 60 attacks on 22 settlements between the mornings of September 23 andдснс
Seven people were injured in the Sumy community following guided aerial bomb strikes, including six men aged between 37 and 64 and a 25-year-old woman. A separate long-range strike injured a 48-year-old woman and a 17-year-old boy.
Russian forces used artillery, mortars, multiple-launch rocket systems, FPV drones, other UAVs and guided aerial bombs. Apartment buildings, private homes, vehicles, a bus and other civilian infrastructure were damaged, while several houses were destroyed in the Seredyna-Buda and Esman communities.
In Zaporizhzhia region, six people were injured in attacks on the Zaporizhzhia district. Russian forces carried out 690 strikes against 55 settlements over the past day, according to regional authorities.
The attacks included 28 air strikes, 524 drone attacks — predominantly using FPV drones — 14 strikes from multiple-launch rocket systems and 124 artillery attacks. Authorities received 51 reports of damage to homes, infrastructure and vehicles.
Two people were injured in Kherson region, where Kherson and 28 other settlements came under Russian air strikes, drone attacks and artillery fire. Two apartment buildings, a private house, an outbuilding and gas pipelines were damaged.
Russian forces also attacked Kyiv region with strike drones and ballistic weapons throughout September 23 and into the night of September 24. Eight sites were damaged across the Bucha, Fastiv and Boryspil districts, including six private homes and two vehicles.
A person born in 1945 suffered an acute stress reaction after a house in Bucha district was damaged and caught fire. Medical assistance was provided at the scene.
In Khmelnytskyi, a Russian drone struck an apartment building during an overnight attack. Windows and balconies were damaged, along with vehicles parked nearby. No casualties were reported in preliminary information.
Separately, around 30,000 consumers in Poltava region were left without electricity following emergency outages caused by severe weather. Energy crews were working to restore supplies; the disruption was not reported as a consequence of Russian attacks.
