Ukrainian company TAF Industries is developing a new interceptor UAV, the TAF-I10, and preparing the Octopus interceptor for serial production to counter Shahed-type drones, the company reported.

The TAF-I10 is a high-speed interceptor drone resistant to electronic warfare, equipped with a protected communication channel and encrypted MilELRS protocol, designed to engage aerial targets.

“The military had long been using our 10-inch Kolibri as an interceptor. Field solutions were working, so we decided not to stand aside but to take up this initiative and improve it at the manufacturer level,” TAF Industries stated.

The company also reported that over several months of the TAF Bonus program, more than 350 aerial targets were destroyed using Kolibri 10-inch FPV drones in the interceptor role. TAF Bonus is a program in which service members receive points for confirmed video evidence of enemy targets destroyed with Kolibri FPV drones and can then exchange those points for equipment, gear, and drones from the company.

The new TAF-I10 interceptor UAV is currently in the development and testing stage.

At the same time, the company is preparing for serial production of the Octopus interceptor drone — a certified development approved by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. According to information published by TAF Industries, the Octopus-100 was designed to counter Shahed-type drones and is equipped with an automatic target guidance module. It can reach speeds of over 300 km/h and operate at altitudes of up to 4,500 meters.
