In Lviv, as part of a humanitarian initiative implemented with the support of the people of Taiwan, 68 rescue vehicles were handed over to Ukraine.
This was reported by the Lviv City Council.
“In Lviv, 68 rescue vehicles were handed over to communities in eastern, southern, and central Ukraine that have been most affected by the war. These include fire trucks, ambulances, and specialized vehicles that will help respond quickly to emergencies and save lives. Lviv became the coordination hub for this humanitarian initiative, implemented with the support of the people of Taiwan. On the Ukrainian side, the transfer was organized by the Lviv City Council and the Institute of the City,” the statement said.
The equipment will be used in communities that face the consequences of Russian aggression on a daily basis. The vehicles will be deployed for firefighting, responding to the aftermath of shelling, evacuating civilians, medical response, and rescue operations in emergency situations.
“We will deliver vehicles to communities in the Kharkiv region, including Kupiansk. Some of the vehicles will also go to the Sumy and Donetsk regions. Starting today, they will be distributed across different locations and will be able to perform their functions. This is very important assistance for Ukrainians, as it helps maintain resilience. Even the example of Lviv shows that multiple locations can be attacked simultaneously. In frontline regions, this happens almost every day. Such support from the people of Taiwan will enable various services to respond in a timely and effective manner,” said First Deputy Mayor of Lviv Andrii Moskalenko.
