Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykhailo Drapatyi held a conversation with Chair of the NATO Military Committee Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone.
“I briefed him on the situation at the front and our priorities: long-range strikes, flexible infantry tactics and the robotisation of the frontline. We also discussed air defence separately. Protecting our skies is my priority,” Drapatyi wrote following the conversation.
He stressed that Ukraine not only receives support but also shares combat experience that no other country currently possesses and which contributes to the security of the entire Alliance.
“We expect the NATO Military Committee to visit Ukraine in October. The last such visit took place eight years ago,” Drapatyi added.
He also thanked Dragone for his personal stance and consistent support for Ukraine at the level of NATO’s senior military leadership.
