Throughout January, international partners provided Ukraine with essential means to counter Russian strikes and humanitarian aid to support the energy sector, the NSDC press service reported.

“The start of the year was difficult for Ukraine due to constant Russian attacks and severe cold. At the same time, international support for Ukraine remains unwavering and has helped us endure. Partners supplied the necessary resources to counter Russian strikes,” the statement reads.

According to the report, international partners provided Ukraine with:

  • Norway – missiles for NASAMS air defense systems;

In addition to air defense support, partners provided substantial energy assistance to help Ukraine recover as quickly as possible from the destruction caused by Russian attacks.

Specifically, Ukraine received:

  • Norway – $400 million, including for energy support;
  • United Kingdom – nearly €23 million to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund;
  • European Union – around 450 generators;
  • Germany – €60 million and additional equipment;

  • Denmark – €20 million for energy support;
  • France – over 100 generators;
