Ukrainian defense-tech company General Chereshnya and Croatian drone and equipment manufacturer ORQA have signed a memorandum officially starting their collaboration and announced plans to develop production capacities in both Ukraine and Croatia, the Ukrainian company’s press service reported.
“We are beginning a great partnership with a company that has a decade of experience and leading expertise in the UAV industry. Our goal is clear and shared: to jointly build a new architecture for European and global security. Our unique Ukrainian experience combined with ORQA’s technological expertise is a perfect match. We are ready to change the game,” said Yaroslav Hryshyn, co-founder of General Chereshnya.
The companies will first focus on developing large-scale component production in Ukraine. As part of the Build in Ukraine program, they plan to construct an underground plant to produce various UAV components and peripherals. Additionally, joint serial production will begin in Croatia, where new technologies in the drone industry will be developed, the statement said.
The collaboration aims for full localization of component production in Ukraine and a reduction of dependency on foreign supplies. The companies also intend to modernize NATO forces and technologically strengthen the capabilities of Ukraine’s Defense Forces.
“This moment marks an important step forward for both sides, driven by the shared goal of strengthening the future security system of all Alliance member states. Ukraine’s real combat experience combined with ORQA’s advanced technical capabilities creates a partnership with exceptional potential. By joining forces, we aim not only to participate in shaping the future of security but to actively transform it,” said Srdjan Kovačević, co-founder and CEO of ORQA.
General Chereshnya has 33 codified products in its portfolio, including FPV and interceptor drones. It was the first company in Ukraine to receive AQAP 2110 certification, confirming its quality management system meets NATO standards.
ORQA is the largest UAV and component manufacturer in Europe, working with over 50 countries worldwide, including 24 NATO members. The company produces its equipment entirely without components from other countries.
