During a meeting of the Expert Working Group chaired by Deputy Minister Oleksii Riabykin, new infrastructure projects in several regions of Ukraine were recommended for funding.

The Ministry for Communities and Territories Development continues to select projects under the Ukraine Recovery Program III (tranche B), implemented using state budget funds secured through a European Investment Bank loan.

“We continue to systematically support communities through infrastructure projects that meet their real needs: from education and healthcare to security and critical infrastructure. It is important that all decisions are made transparently and according to clear priorities, in partnership with the European Investment Bank,” Riabykin said.

Following the meeting, the following projects were recommended for funding:

  • Zakarpattia region: two projects – reconstruction of a kindergarten building in Yasinian community and reconstruction of a school in Uzhhorod community.
  • Lviv region: six projects – construction of sewage networks and a protective facility in Pidberiztsi community; reconstruction with extensions in Kamiansko-Buzka community; reconstruction of power and heating systems and major repair of a hospital in Lviv community; major repair of a shelter in an educational institution in Novoyarychiv community.
  • Rivne region: five projects – major repair of a medical facility department in Rivne community; reconstruction at treatment facilities in Korets community; major repair of medical premises in Varash community; major repair of a heating system in a medical facility in Berezne community; major repair of a radiation shelter in Radyvyliv community.

Previously, the Commission had approved funding for: 5 projects in Kirovohrad region, 12 in Kyiv region, 7 in Ivano-Frankivsk region, 5 in Cherkasy region, 7 in Zhytomyr region, 5 in Vinnytsia region, 14 in Poltava region, 9 in Volyn region, and 3 in Zakarpattia region. Separately, 76 projects in frontline regions were supported, including Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, Odessa, Sumy, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, and Kherson regions.

The working group’s review of projects is ongoing.

As a reminder, communities first submit applications through the DREAM system. The system prioritizes projects, assigning scores and rankings. Then, the Regional State Administrations (OVAs) assess the importance of projects for their regions. Next, the expert working group at the Ministry of Development, which includes representatives from central authorities, local government associations, and the civil sector, reviews the projects. The finalized list of projects is then submitted for approval to the European Investment Bank.
