During the night of January 26 (from 18:00 on January 25), the Russian forces launched an attack using 138 strike UAVs of the Shahed and Gerbera types, as well as drones of other models, from the directions of Kursk, Oryol, Bryansk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia) and the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk. About 90 of them were Shahed drones.
The air assault was repelled by aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, as well as mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data as of 08:00, air defense forces shot down or suppressed 110 drones of the Shahed and Gerbera types and other UAVs in the north and east of the country.
Impacts by 21 strike drones were recorded at 11 locations, and debris from downed UAVs fell at one location.
