The Ministry of National Defence of Lithuania, the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, and the Brave1 cluster will implement “Brave Lithuania” — an initiative to support innovation in the defence sector. This was announced by Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko.

“The launch of the programme was announced together with Lithuanian Prime Minister Inga Ruginienė in Vilnius,” the head of government said.

The initiative will help Ukrainian and Lithuanian developers more quickly create and implement solutions in priority defence tech areas, including unmanned systems, electronic warfare (EW), artificial intelligence, communication systems, and other technologies needed on the battlefield today.

According to the Prime Minister, Ukraine’s defence industry is currently one of the most dynamic in the world. Since 2022, Ukraine’s production capacity has grown 50-fold—from $1 billion to $50 billion.

“Ukraine has unique experience in developing defence technologies under conditions of modern full-scale war. Lithuania is one of our closest partners in the field of security and defence. Combining our countries’ defence innovation ecosystems opens new opportunities for joint development,” Svyrydenko noted.

On the Ukrainian side, the programme will be implemented by the defence tech cluster Brave1.

“Such partnerships strengthen Ukraine’s defence capability and enhance the security of all Europe,” she emphasized.

Svyrydenko added that Ukraine and Lithuania have signed a joint declaration on the exchange of Ukrainian experience in responding to the challenges of the full-scale invasion. The document serves as a roadmap in the context of security challenges for the whole of Europe.

“This is no longer just about partnership — together we are creating a new security architecture for Europe,” she said, thanking Lithuania for its support, trust, and shared vision of Ukraine’s European future.
