Counterintelligence of the Security Service of Ukraine has detained another FSB agent in Odessa. He turned out to be a local taxi driver recruited by the enemy, who was adjusting and coordinating Russian missile and drone strikes on the city.
According to case materials, the suspect tracked the locations of Ukraine’s Defense Forces and local electrical substations, which Russian forces were preparing to target in a new series of air attacks.
It has been established that he operated under the cover of providing passenger transport services across the regional center and its surrounding areas.
Investigators documented how, while traveling to clients or returning after completing orders, the agent photographed the perimeters of potential targets and marked their geolocations in Google Maps.
For photo documentation and work with mapping software, the offender used a smartphone and a tablet. He later compiled intelligence reports for the FSB using these devices.
SSU officers exposed the agent and detained him at his place of residence. During searches, they seized gadgets and SIM cards containing intelligence data, as well as evidence that he used anonymous messenger chats to communicate with his handler from Russian intelligence.

According to the investigation, the suspect came to the attention of the FSB in late 2025, when he was searching online for “easy money” opportunities.
In exchange for the promise of “quick earnings,” the agent began preparing coordinates for new strikes on Odessa.
SSU investigators have notified him of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason committed under martial law).
The suspect is in custody. He faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
