In Odessa, at least 30 beach zones are planned to be opened for the summer season.
This was announced by the Head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper.
“If in 2023 we opened 6 beaches, then in 2025 there were already more than 30. This year we expect that the number of open areas will be no less,” the statement said.
According to Kiper, a joint order has already been signed with the command of the operational-tactical group Odesa regarding the preparation of access for citizens to certain areas of the coastline. Special commissions have also been established to inspect the areas where businesses will be allowed to operate and residents will be able to rest.
The regional head added that safety requirements remain unchanged — including observation and rescue posts (towers), rescue boats and warning systems on beaches, fully equipped shelters nearby, and designated swimming zones. Certain restrictions will also apply on the beaches: regulated visiting hours, a ban on the use of watercraft (except rescue vessels), and limited access to dangerous areas.
