Russian forces in 2025–2026 have been using ballistic missiles much more actively during large-scale attacks on Ukraine, and this trend has been observed for quite some time.
This was reported on television by Yurii Ihnat, Head of the Communications Department of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“We provided this information about the more frequent use of ballistic weapons on significant dates such as the fourth anniversary [of the full-scale invasion] and at the end of the year. In those materials it was indicated that the enemy is using more ballistic missiles in 2025–2026,” Ihnat said.
According to him, this winter about a dozen and a half attacks were recorded in which the use of missiles flying on a ballistic trajectory increased significantly.
“There were about a dozen and a half of these massive strikes over the winter, and the use of missiles that strike along a ballistic trajectory increased significantly… so this is a trend that has been continuing for quite some time,” he explained.
