The death toll from the Russian drone attack on a shopping complex in Kryvyi Rih has risen to 16, while 130 people have been injured and nine remain missing.
Search and rescue operations are continuing at the shopping centre, which was struck by Russian forces on August 21.
According to Dnipropetrovsk Regional Governor Oleksandr Hanzha, nine people are currently considered missing, including two children, as rescuers continue clearing the rubble.

Russian forces initially struck one of Kryvyi Rih’s largest shopping centres with a drone and carried out a second strike 26 minutes later, when emergency services were already working at the scene.
As of Saturday morning, 16 people had been confirmed killed and 130 injured. According to Oleksandr Vilkul, head of the Kryvyi Rih Defence Council, 25 children are among the injured.
Twenty-nine people, including five children, are in serious condition. A total of 63 victims remain in five hospitals.

Kryvyi Rih has declared Sunday, August 23, a day of mourning for those killed in the attack.
President Volodymyr Zelensky earlier described the double strike as “an act of terror,” calling for stronger international pressure on Russia and accountability for the attack.
