In March, Russia deployed two submarines to the Black Sea for missile launches only once.
This was reported on a TV broadcast by Dmytro Pletenchuk, spokesperson for the Ukrainian Navy.
“The combat units have been based in Novorossiysk for a long time. However, their actions are limited due to our influence. This month, their operations occurred only once — involving two submarines. They went out for just a few hours to carry out launches. Previously, submarines were constantly at sea, rotating one another, but this has not happened for many months. This may be partly related to Russian attempts to preserve their resources,” Pletenchuk said.
At the same time, he noted that Russian auxiliary fleet vessels remain in Crimea, but they pose no threat.
