Ukraine has received the final batch of 20 KIA Bongo ambulances out of a total of 200 donated by the government of the Republic of Korea.

According to the Ministry of Health, the total value of all vehicles—provided in cooperation with the Korean Embassy in Ukraine—exceeds $12 million.

The ambulances are fully equipped with modern medical gear needed to save lives at the scene and during transport to medical facilities. Each unit includes defibrillator monitors, oxygen supply systems, trauma care equipment, stretchers, and emergency medications.

The Ministry stressed that over 600 ambulances have been damaged or destroyed in Ukraine since the start of the full-scale invasion.

In total, Ukraine has received over 1,500 emergency medical vehicles from international partners, including 73 armored ambulances.

The renewal of the emergency fleet began in 2020–2021, before the invasion, when the government purchased 895 ambulances. These vehicles helped maintain stability in the healthcare system during the first and most difficult months of the war.
