One of Ukraine’s largest FPV drone manufacturers, TAF Industries, is shifting its strategy and moving toward diversifying its product line. According to the company’s CEO, Volodymyr Zinovskyi, speaking to Forbes Ukraine, the company is now exploring entry into new high-tech niches, including the development of unmanned drones for deep strikes behind enemy lines.
The development of long-range strike drones will not start from scratch; instead, the company is negotiating mergers and acquisitions with teams whose concepts are already at the testing or validation stage.
TAF Industries aims to bring to market a product with a unique value proposition, designed with input from future users, and significantly cheaper than existing analogs with similar tactical and technical capabilities.
“Expanding the product line increases our investment appeal. ‘DeepStrike’ is one of the products we can discuss with foreign partners when they show interest in the company,” said Volodymyr Zinovskyi.
The estimated cost of a single unit is around $150,000. For the initial testing of a minimal batch of five drones, the manufacturer is ready to allocate over half a million dollars. This project is viewed as a long-term investment, with a projected completion timeline of about a year.
In addition to DeepStrike solutions, Zinovskyi noted that TAF Industries plans to enter the niche of ground robotic systems.
