A ceremonial meeting took place at the Embassy of the Swiss Confederation with representatives of 12 winning companies that will implement key initiatives for Ukraine’s recovery. Deputy Ministers of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture of Ukraine, Anna Artemenko and Pavlo Kartashov, attended the event. The goal was to congratulate the Swiss companies and outline the vision for project implementation in Ukraine.
Within the first competition of the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), 12 initiatives by Swiss companies were selected, totaling over 93 million Swiss francs. Participating companies had registered legal entities in Ukraine. The event provided an opportunity to meet personally with representatives of these businesses.
“Grateful to our partners for their significant contribution to Ukraine’s recovery. All these projects will strengthen critical sectors, foster innovation, and contribute to long-term resilience and sustainable development. We will continue to support the next competition to fund projects in priority sectors of both private and public domains, as Ukraine’s total reconstruction needs exceed 500 billion euros,” emphasized Deputy Minister Pavlo Kartashov.
The Swiss companies and their initiatives are:
- Divario AG: modular housing for IDPs
- Artur Flury AG: sectional insulators for Ukrzaliznytsia’s contact networks
- Schwihag AG: localized production of fastening systems for railways
- DM Bau AG: modular housing for IDPs
- Hitachi Energy Ltd: supply and deployment of intelligent electronic devices for Ukrenergo

“I am honored to thank everyone again for their contribution to Ukraine’s recovery and development. Each of these projects is extremely important and will enhance the resilience of Ukraine’s economy and infrastructure. We highly appreciate the efforts of all participating companies, and our ministry will support their implementation, ensuring smooth execution and effective communication with all stakeholders,” stated Deputy Minister Anna Artemenko.
Implementation of all projects begins in autumn 2025. They will not only help rebuild the country but also create jobs, new production capacities, and economic opportunities for communities.
Background:
Switzerland is one of Ukraine’s key partners in reconstruction. On February 12, 2025, the Swiss Federal Council adopted the Cooperation Program with Ukraine for 2025–2028. This represents the first phase (1.5 billion Swiss francs) of a long-term 12-year support plan, with a total volume of 5 billion francs.
In April 2025, an agreement was signed amending the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine and SECO. Due to high business interest, funding was doubled from 50 to 100 million francs. This competition marks the beginning of Switzerland’s initiative to support Ukraine.
