Schleswig-Holstein has become the first German region to begin adopting the experience of Kherson region.
Following this training, the state government decided to increase the police force by 200 officers to respond to modern challenges, according to Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, on Telegram.
"Schleswig-Holstein is the first German region to start learning from Kherson region. During a meeting with Schleswig-Holstein’s Prime Minister Daniel Günther, I thanked him for his systematic support of Kherson and presented our program ‘Civil-Military Administration in the Context of Modern Warfare,’" Prokudin wrote. He added that Mr. Günther expressed willingness to adopt Kherson’s experience to strengthen his region’s resilience.

Prokudin noted that, together with his team, they held a two-day security conference for Schleswig-Holstein officials. Specialists from Kherson, who work daily under Russian shelling, openly shared their expertise.
"After this training, the state government decided to expand the police force by 200 officers to respond to modern challenges," Prokudin wrote, expressing gratitude to Daniel Günther for his warm reception and comprehensive support of Kherson region.
In addition, Kherson region will receive €1 million from Schleswig-Holstein to strengthen energy resilience—twice the originally planned amount.
"After our presentation to the state government, they decided to increase the assistance," Prokudin noted.
The aid package also includes 13 vehicles, including armored ones, for evacuating the wounded and supporting emergency services, with the first three expected this month. Separately, an agreement was reached to supply protective nets to shield civil infrastructure from ongoing attacks by Russian drones.
