The Holy Presentation (Vvedenska) Church, a national architectural heritage monument, was destroyed in a Russian drone strike on the town of Beryslav in Ukraine's Kherson region on Sunday, according to investigative journalist Oleh Baturin, citing his own sources.

"The church was destroyed by the Russians—they burned it down with a drone," Baturin wrote on Facebook.

According to him, the wooden church was built from oak in 1725. In 1782, Cossacks transported the church by raft along the Dnieper River from the Perevolochna Fortress—now submerged beneath the Kamianske Reservoir—to Beryslav, where it stood for more than two centuries.
