Russian forces continue widespread attacks, causing civilian injuries and major damage

Russian forces have continued assaults across several Ukrainian regions, causing civilian injuries and significant damage to homes and infrastructure.

In the Sumy region, Russian troops carried out over 100 attacks on multiple settlements, leaving at least two people injured. The strikes damaged homes, non-residential buildings, and agricultural equipment, and destroyed a private residence in Velykopysarivska. Mortars, artillery, drones, and guided aerial bombs were reportedly used.

In Donetsk region, one resident was injured by Russian attacks on March 15, according to Governor Vadym Filashkin. The overall toll in Donetsk reaches 4,085 deaths and 9,030 injuries, excluding Mariupol and Volnovakha.

Kherson region reported five people injured over the past day amid drone strikes, air raids, and artillery shelling. Governor Oleksandr Prokudin listed multiple settlements affected. Damages included private and multi-story homes, shops, gas pipelines, warehouses, agricultural equipment, and vehicles. On March 16, a drone attack in central Kherson seriously injured a 67-year-old driver with brain and facial injuries.

In Dnipropetrovsk region, Russian forces attacked two districts with artillery and drones, injuring one person. Settlements affected included Nikopol, Marganets, and Pokrovska communities, as well as Vasylkivska and Petropavlivska, where private homes, farm buildings, and an agricultural enterprise caught fire.

In Zaporizhzhia, attacks caused power outages affecting over 7,500 residents. Sixteen buildings were damaged, including one heavily destroyed private house and 15 others with minor damage such as broken windows, doors, and roofs. Energy crews are awaiting clearance to begin repairs. More than 7,000 subscribers have been left without power as a result of the Russian attack on Zaporizhzhia, according to the head of the Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov. Fedorov added that energy workers will begin restoration as soon as the security situation allows.

In Kharkiv and the surrounding region, attacks targeted the city and 18 nearby settlements, injuring two men. A 54-year-old man was wounded in Oskil, and a 42-year-old man in Cherkaski Tyshky. Russian forces used a variety of drones, including 12 Geran-2, three Molniya, eight FPV drones, and additional unmanned aerial vehicles. The strikes damaged private homes, administrative buildings, vehicles, rail infrastructure, farm buildings, and electrical networks across Kharkiv, Bogodukhiv, Kharkiv, and Chuhuiv districts. City Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported that one person was injured by a drone strike in Shevchenkivskyi district, with a second strike damaging transport infrastructure.

In Mykolaiv, missile and drone strikes damaged a school and an apartment building. Authorities reported that the attacks involved Shahed-131/136 drones overnight, as well as seven FPV drone strikes on the Ochakiv community. No casualties were reported.
