Partner countries announced new packages of support for Ukraine during the meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group in the “Ramstein” format. A significant part of the contributions is directed to the critical Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List (PURL) mechanism, as well as to strengthening air defense, developing drone capabilities, and ensuring ammunition supplies.
Key announcements included:
Germany – $4 billion to strengthen air defense and $600 million for the development of deep-strike and mid-strike capabilities. Separately, Defense Minister Boris Pistorius launched an initiative for the urgent reinforcement of Ukraine’s air defense: €2 billion has already been mobilized from partners;
United Kingdom – the largest drone support package this year;
Netherlands – €248 million for UAVs for Ukraine;
Norway – $560 million for basic brigade-level drone support and $150 million for the development of a logistics hub; also a contribution to PURL;
Spain – €215 million for SAFE, as well as the provision of Patriot missiles;
Belgium – €75 million for the “Czech initiative,” €75 million for the German air defense initiative, €85 million for the drone coalition, support for F-16s, and increased sanctions pressure on Russia’s shadow fleet;
Canada – $15 million to the NSATU fund, $42 million for the “Czech initiative,” $17 million for critical engineering equipment;
Luxembourg – $29 million for PURL, including funding for international funds and direct weapons procurement;
Lithuania – $39 million for the “Czech initiative,” $29 million for PURL, assistance in purchasing armored vehicles, and support for veterans’ rehabilitation;
Estonia – $13 million for PURL.
Ukraine thanks all participants of the “Ramstein” format for their consistent support. Gratitude is also expressed to the United Kingdom and Germany for organizing the meeting, and to the United States for creating this critically important coordination framework for assistance.
