Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko stated that Ukraine has confirmed its readiness to send military experts to support Lithuania in developing its air defense capabilities and countering modern security challenges.
“During consultations between the governments of Ukraine and Lithuania in Vilnius, we discussed joint defense production projects, particularly in the field of interceptor drones, as part of the Drone Deal agreement signed by the presidents of our countries on May 13. Lithuania became the first NATO country with which Ukraine has signed such an agreement. Special attention was also paid to cooperation in the maritime domain, the production of naval drones, and opportunities for joint ammunition production projects,” Svyrydenko wrote on Telegram.
According to her, Ukraine has confirmed its readiness to send military experts to support Lithuania in strengthening its airspace defense capabilities and countering modern security threats.

It is noted that Lithuania, for its part, has confirmed its intention to use the SAFE mechanism to finance joint defense projects.
“We are grateful to the Lithuanian people for their unwavering solidarity with Ukraine, which is backed by concrete actions: military aid packages and Lithuania’s decision, starting in 2024, to allocate at least 0.25% of GDP annually to support Ukraine’s defense and security.”
