The Russian Federation plans to recruit another 409,000 servicemen in 2026 and continues preparations for further aggression against Ukraine.
This was stated by Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrskyi.
He noted that with improving weather conditions, an increase in Russian activity on the front line is being observed.
The Commander-in-Chief held an operational meeting on the state of engineering fortifications along defensive lines. Key tasks include strengthening fortifications, developing anti-drone defenses, and preparing settlements for defense.
Syrskyi also heard reports from military commanders, leadership of the State Special Transport Service, and heads of regional military administrations.
“There are problematic issues—we have identified specific solutions and deadlines for their implementation. The quality and speed of this work determine not only the resilience of our defense but also the lives of our soldiers,” the Commander-in-Chief emphasized.
