The Moldovan authorities have declared the leadership of the Operational Group of Russian Forces (OGRF) in Transnistria persona non grata in the country.

This was stated by TV8.md.

Sources in state institutions confirmed this information to the editorial office of Zona de Securitate.

The list of individuals banned from entering the country includes OGRF commander Dmitry Zelenkov and his deputies: Dmitry Opalev, Sergei Mashchenko, and Sergei Shirshov.

Similar measures were taken against Chief of Staff Marat Yarulin and Alexei Bogomolov.

The decision by official Chișinău blocks the movement of the OGRF command.

If they attempt to leave the region, they face expulsion from the country with an indefinite ban on re-entry.

It is noted that the Operational Group of Russian Forces was formed on the basis of the remnants of the former Soviet 14th Army.

During the Dniester war, units of this army supported the separatists.

According to estimates, the size of the OGRF contingent is currently about 1,200 servicemen.

For many years, Moldovan authorities have consistently demanded the full withdrawal of Russian troops and the removal of ammunition, stressing that the presence of this contingent on the country’s territory is illegal and violates sovereignty.
