Trucks carrying aid from the Danish city of Silkeborg arrived in Kherson. The Silkeborg community raised nearly 2.5 million Danish kroner, which were used to purchase generators and charging stations for residents of Kherson, according to Yaroslav Shanko, head of the Kherson Military-Civil Administration.
“Trucks with aid from our friends in Denmark—the community of Silkeborg—have arrived in Kherson. This is the result of the community’s great solidarity, which collected nearly 2.5 million Danish kroner to support the people of Kherson,” the statement said.
The funds were used to buy generators and charging stations, which will help ensure the stable operation of critical infrastructure and support people during power outages.
For frontline Kherson, this aid is more than just equipment. It provides light in homes during blackouts, allows hospitals and municipal services to continue functioning, and gives people confidence that they are not left alone in facing the challenges of war.
The head of the Military-Civil Administration expressed gratitude to Silkeborg Mayor Helle Gade and the entire community for their concern, support, and concrete actions, emphasizing that Kherson values such solidarity.
