Ukraine and China have signed an agreement that opens the possibility for exporting Ukrainian wheat flour to the Chinese market.
This was announced by Serhiy Tkachuk, head of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection.
“Today (April 6), together with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Ukraine, Mr. Ma Shenkun, we signed an international agreement that officially opens the export of Ukrainian wheat flour to China,” Tkachuk wrote.

The protocol was concluded between the State Service for Food Safety and the General Administration of Customs of China. It establishes clear requirements for all stages of production and supply, from wheat cultivation to the export of finished flour, including traceability and compliance with sanitary and phytosanitary standards.
According to Tkachuk, opening the Chinese market creates new opportunities for Ukrainian producers, including access to one of the world’s largest markets, development of processing, and increased export of value-added products.

He also emphasized that this is not just about expanding export geography, but about a gradual transition from a raw-materials model to the export of finished products.
