This was reported by the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Hanzha.
"16 dead, 42 injured. Search and rescue operations have been completed in Dnipro's residential district, which was struck by Russian missiles overnight," the statement said.
Among the injured are four children. Three of them remain hospitalized, along with 21 adults. Medical personnel are providing all necessary treatment and assistance to the victims.
June 3 has been declared a day of mourning in Dnipro for those killed as a result of the attack that took place on the night of June 1–2.

Also the Security Service of Ukraine has detained a Russian agent who took part in preparing a missile and drone attack by Russian forces on Dnipro on the night of June 2. According to the investigation, the agent turned out to be a former military serviceman from the Krynychanskyi district who had been recruited by Russian forces and held a Russian passport.
"The suspect monitored the timing and flight routes of Ukrainian fighter jets and combat helicopters that defend the skies over the frontline region. In this way, Russian forces were searching for “weak points” in the region’s air defense and attempting to determine the locations of Ukrainian aviation bases in order to strike them with combined attacks," the SSU said.
To collect intelligence, the suspect went out into the field during air raid alerts to record coordinates and time intervals of aircraft and helicopter takeoffs operated by the Defense Forces. According to the case materials, Russian intelligence services recruited him through a Telegram channel where he had been trying to establish contact with them. During reconnaissance missions, the suspect drove around the area by car, constantly changing locations while gathering intelligence.

SSU officers detained the agent at his place of residence. During the search, they found a Russian passport and a smartphone containing evidence of collaboration with the Russian forces.
