Ukraine has developed and tested its first domestically produced guided aerial bomb, which is now ready for combat use, according to Mykhailo Fedorov.
The project was developed within the Brave1 defense technology cluster and has already passed the necessary trials. The development took 17 months to complete.
According to Fedorov, the Ukrainian-made guided aerial bomb features a unique design and was created specifically for the realities of modern warfare. It is not a copy of Western or Soviet systems but an original engineering solution designed to strike fortified positions, command posts, and other targets at ranges of tens of kilometers after release.

The munition carries a 250-kilogram warhead. The Ministry of Defense has already procured the first experimental batch, and pilots are currently conducting operational training and adapting tactics for real combat conditions.
Fedorov noted that this development marks a broader shift in Ukraine’s defense sector — from importing individual systems to producing advanced domestic weapons that strengthen the country’s defense forces and provide a technological advantage on the battlefield.

He added that Ukrainian guided bombs will soon be used against Russian targets, as the country continues to scale up precision and long-range strike capabilities that are reshaping modern warfare.
