The Head of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection, Serhiy Tkachuk, together with his team, continues active international work — systematically opening new opportunities for Ukrainian exports and strengthening Ukraine’s positions in global markets.
During an official working visit to the Republic of the Philippines, a series of substantive meetings took place, setting a clear direction for the development of Ukrainian-Philippine partnerships in the agricultural and trade-economic sectors.
A key focus is expanding the presence of Ukrainian agricultural products in the Philippine market. In talks with Maria Cristina Aldeguer-Roque, both sides not only confirmed mutual interest but also moved to concrete steps: practical measures were defined to enable Ukrainian producers to confidently enter this promising market in the near future.
Another focus is direct engagement with business. At a roundtable with representatives of the Makati Business Club and the European Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Philippines, the Ukrainian side received a clear signal: demand for Ukrainian products exists and is growing. This applies not only to products of animal origin — Philippine importers are actively interested in Ukrainian food supplements, snacks, bottled water, and confectionery products.
The next important step is opening the market for products of animal origin. During a meeting with Konstante Palabrica, the parties agreed on approaches to sanitary and veterinary requirements, procedures, and a roadmap for further actions. This creates a real foundation for Ukrainian products to access the Philippine market.
The State Service works in continuous dialogue with international partners and businesses, providing full support to Ukrainian exporters — from aligning requirements to entering new markets.
Ukraine is not just declaring its capabilities — it is consistently realizing them, opening new horizons for the national producer.
