The Ministry of Defense has digitalized the processes of supplying military equipment

The Ministry of Defense has completed the rollout of the Logistics Support Management (LSM) system for military equipment within the Logistics Forces Command and at storage bases.

From now on, the entire path of military equipment — from procurement to delivery to a military unit — проходит through a digital system. This includes armored medevac vehicles, armored vans such as the “Kozak” and “Novator,” trucks, pickups, SUVs, passenger cars, buggies, ATVs, motorcycles, and more.

In real time, it is now possible to check which equipment has been procured, what has already arrived, and what has been shipped and received at storage bases. Previously, document transfers and confirmation of issuance could take several days — now documents are available instantly, and the movement of equipment is displayed online, reducing the time needed to supply units.

What this changes:

  • documents are transferred instantly;
  • contract deliveries are reflected in real time;
  • shipments of equipment to military units can be tracked online;
  • procurement, distribution, and reporting processes are automated;
  • logistics delays are reduced;
  • managerial decision-making is accelerated.

Next, the system will be launched in military units carrying out combat missions.

The LSM system is built on SAP, a data-driven defense resource management platform used by more than 90% of NATO member states’ armed forces. It enables real-time visibility of available resources, tracking of their movement, supply planning, and data-based decision-making.
