The Security Service of Ukraine and the National Police have prevented a series of bloody terrorist attacks in the Kirovohrad and Odessa regions. As a result of pre-emptive actions, two local school students were exposed who, on orders from Russia, were supposed to blow up their own lyceums and shoot their classmates with firearms.
The investigation established that Russian special services recruited both minors through groups on Telegram and TikTok, which Russian operatives use to manipulatively draw children into illegal activities.
According to available data, the Russians recruited the boys by manipulating themes such as achieving a “just cause,” protecting relatives from retaliation, and “punishing those responsible” for allegedly insulting them at school, among others.
As for the two detained individuals, Russian intelligence officers pushed the students not only to carry out terrorist attacks but also to commit suicide immediately after the “main crime.” In this way, the Russians hoped to eliminate “unnecessary witnesses.”

It has been documented that a 15-year-old lyceum student in the Kirovohrad region received instructions from a handler in Russia to manufacture a homemade bomb using improvised materials.
The completed explosive device was to be brought to his educational institution and detonated during the break between classes.
In addition, under the Russia’s instructions, he planned to take his grandfather’s shotgun and a hunting knife in order to finish off any survivors.
SSU officers pre-emptively exposed the minor and documented his contacts with a Russian intelligence operative.

During searches at the suspect’s residence, investigators seized a homemade explosive device (HME), components for its manufacture, a shotgun, as well as a computer and smartphone containing evidence of cooperation with the Russian forces.
At the same time, in the Odessa region, another local student was exposed at the stage of recruitment by Russian operatives.
It was established that Russian intelligence services planned to send him a parcel containing firearms and a hunting knife.
According to the case materials, the student was supposed to use the weapons to carry out a mass killing of students at his lyceum.

At present, SSU investigators have formally notified the 15-year-old suspect from the Kirovohrad region of suspicion under Part 1 of Article 14 and Part 1 of Article 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (preparation for a terrorist act).
He faces up to 10 years in prison with confiscation of property.
The investigation is ongoing to bring all those responsible to justice.
