Three people, including two children, were injured when Russian forces struck a railway station in southern Odessa region on Wednesday afternoon.
“The enemy carried out a missile strike on railway infrastructure in Odessa region. As a result of the strike, the administrative building of the railway station was damaged. A railway worker and two children were injured. All are receiving necessary medical assistance,” wrote Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction and Minister for Communities and Territories Development, Oleksiy Kuleba, on Telegram.
According to him, all services are working on-site to address the consequences of the attack.
“This afternoon, the enemy launched a missile strike on southern Odessa region. A transport infrastructure facility was hit. The administrative building was damaged. Unfortunately, according to preliminary information, three people were injured, including two children. All are in moderate condition and are receiving the necessary medical care,” wrote the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper, on Telegram.
He added that information about the injured is being updated.
Officials did not specify which railway station or settlement in Odessa region was targeted. The extent of the damage and the impact on railway operations are also currently unknown.

The number of people injured in the missile strike has risen to four. Three of them, including two children, are in moderate condition. Another injured person is in serious condition.
Medical personnel are providing all necessary assistance.
