President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that last night Russia launched more than 30 missiles and over 450 attack drones targeting Ukraine’s critical infrastructure. More than 20 people were injured, and a child was killed in Zaporizhzhia.

Zelensky reported this on Facebook.

He said that emergency response efforts are underway at many critical infrastructure facilities damaged by the Russian strike on the energy system.

“A cynical and calculated attack: more than 450 drones and over thirty missiles against everything that ensures normal life — everything the Russians want to deprive us of,” the President noted.

As of now, more than 20 injured people have been reported across the country — all are receiving necessary medical assistance.

In Zaporizhzhia, a child was killed as a result of the attack.

In Kyiv, repair crews are working to restore electricity and water supply. Power outages have been reported in Kyiv, Donetsk, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Kharkiv, Sumy, Poltava, and Odessa regions, as well as in the Dnipro area. Restoration efforts are also underway in Zaporizhzhia, Kirovohrad, and Kherson regions.

All necessary services are engaged in recovery work, and rescue teams are operating where needed. Zelensky said he is receiving regular updates from Minister for Communities Development Oleksii Kuleba, Deputy Energy Minister Svitlana Hrynchuk, Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko, and regional authorities. He emphasized the need for maximum efficiency from officials at all levels.

Zelensky stressed that civilian and energy infrastructure remains the main target of Russian attacks ahead of the heating season.

“Together we can protect people from this terror. What is needed are not empty words, but decisive actions — from the U.S., Europe, and the G7 — in delivering air defense systems and enforcing sanctions. We count on a response from the G20 and all those who speak of peace but refrain from real steps. The world can defend itself against these crimes, and doing so will strengthen global security,” the President emphasized.
