Russian forces are increasing pressure and moving reserves to the Pokrovsk and Ocheretyne directions of the frontline.
This was reported by Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrskyi.
He noted that he continues to work in the Pokrovsk and Ocheretyne sectors, where the Russian forces are concentrating its main efforts.
According to Syrskyi, the operational situation in these areas remains difficult. Over the past week alone, about 400 combat engagements took place there.
“The aggressor does not abandon attempts to break through, is increasing pressure, and is bringing up reserves. Our key task is to inflict maximum losses on the enemy, destroy its reserves, and consistently reduce its offensive potential,” Syrskyi emphasized.

While working directly on the ground, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and unit commanders are conducting a detailed analysis of the course of hostilities. Russian forces continue to use tactics involving advances by small infantry groups. As Syrskyi noted, their timely detection, containment, and destruction require constant battlefield monitoring, clear unit coordination, and flexible tactical decisions.
The general also said that particular attention is being paid to strengthening unmanned systems units — primarily the use of strike drones to engage the Russian troops, as well as the development of logistics using robotic systems.
“The war is changing, and we are changing our approaches to conducting it. Scaling up modern technologies directly affects combat effectiveness and helps save the lives of Ukrainian soldiers,” Syrskyi stressed.
He expressed gratitude to every service member for destroying Russian forces, effective teamwork, and a high level of professionalism.
