The Port of Odessa and the Port of Klaipeda (Lithuanian Republic) have signed a memorandum of cooperation aimed at developing partnership and exchanging expertise.
The administration of the Port of Odessa announced this on Facebook.
On Thursday, a delegation from the Port of Klaipeda, led by CEO Algis Latakas, visited the Odessa branch of the state enterprise Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority. The delegation was welcomed by Dmitry Nazarenko, head of the Port of Odessa administration, with representatives of the USPA leadership also participating in the event.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the functioning of the Ukrainian Corridor, the development of port infrastructure, and prospects for modernizing capacities, especially under martial law. Following the talks, the sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the ports of Odessa and Klaipeda, aimed at strengthening partnership and exchanging expertise.
“Support from international partners is extremely important today for the stable operation of the port sector. The signing of the Memorandum with the Port of Klaipeda has already yielded practical results: we have received essential technical assistance from our Lithuanian colleagues to ensure the uninterrupted operation of the port,” Nazarenko commented.

Additionally, the leadership of the Odessa branch of USPA expressed gratitude to European partners for their timely support and effective cooperation. The Port of Odessa administration reminded that the agreement to sign the memorandum was reached in October 2025 during the Baltexpo 2025 exhibition in Poland.
